Food Snob Partners with NZFW

It’s the 15th Anniversary of New Zealand Fashion Week and it all kicks off today!

Held at the ANZ Viaduct Events Centre from Monday 24th August to Sunday 30th August, NZFW is arguably the cornerstone of the Kiwi fashion industry. Now in its 15th year, the country’s most glamorous event is a hub for all facets of the design industry.

Fashion and food are often seen as a great match, and here at Food Snob, we have to agree.  So Food Snob, the kiwi ‘foodie’ brand that believes “good taste is everything”, has partnered with two of New Zealand fashion’s biggest brands, the notable New Zealand Fashion Week (NZFW) and acclaimed designer Adrian Hailwood, to share and celebrate two of life’s greatest pleasures – food and fashion, and will be part of providing bespoke flavours and unique eating experiences to those onsite during the week long NZFW event.

Throughout the week, established and up and coming local designers have the opportunity to promote and profile their brands, key trade influencers can soak in the creativity and international guests and bloggers will be sitting front row seat to keep us all up with the play.

And it’s not all about the glamorous runway shows and crazy after parties; the event is also a celebration of all things elegant and well designed. Luxury can be found in every detail, from the artwork and VIP cars to the food and beverages that will be served to the 30,000 event visitors.

When it comes to food it’s all about good design and at Fashion Week you’ll find that the creativity is not limited to the catwalk. Here at NZFW, the in-crowd needs to be kept fed and watered with quick healthy snacks, bite-size meals and remarkable tastes. Food Snob products will be available from the level one café and used by Mint Kitchen Catering in hosting areas to create all kinds of deliciousness. We’ll be sharing some behind the scenes snaps of this during the week.

When we have the opportunity to take a breather from the kitchen, we’re looking forward to seeing dark and wittily sombre shows from NOM*d and Zambesi, unpredictable yet elegant clothing from Kate Sylvester and Hailwood and a spectacle of feminine beauty from Dame Trelise Cooper. Also on our radar are newcomers Harman Grubisa, bad boys Stolen Girlfriends Club and Ponsonby favourite Miss Crabb.

A week of fabulous fashion, discerning palettes and trendy taste buds. Bring it on.
